Chess club Ružomberok under the authority of assignment IPCA and FIDE is preparing in days 18.-27. June the 15th Chess World Championship IPCA. It will take place in hotel Sorea Regia in the capital city Bratislava, Slovakia. Playing system of the tournament will be Swiss system, 90 minutes for game plus bonus 30 seconds for each move. There are two playing categories:
- Group "A"
The 15th IPCA World Individual Chess Championship 2015 for disabled chess players (men, women and juniors 1997 year of birth or younger) with reduced efficiency of the musculoskeletal system in wheelchairs and others according to the IPCA medical criterions.
- Group "B"
The FIDE open tournament (with the participation of chess players with accompanists with tournament director´s agreement).
There will be accompanying actions for large community. The event fell under the aegis of Prime Minister of Slovakia Doc. JUDr. Robert Fico, CSc. The guarantor of the event is Vice-President of National Council of Slovak Republic Ing. Erika Jurinová. Chief arbiter of the tournament will be IA Ivan Syrový and tournament director will be Marek Zelnický.
Winner of the last IPCA 2014 became Andrei Obodchuk from Russia. Igor Yarmonov from Ukraine got second place and third place won Krishna Karthik K Venkata from India.
Participants of the tournament will compete to represent IPCA team in Chess Olympic Games 2016.
